Rogeniv (pronounced RAW-je-niv) is a Sacramento, California born recording artist, songwriter, producer, pianist & guitarist who has been performing regularly since the age of 15. Spiritually driven and known most for his uniquely smooth, yet powerful, soulful voice, Rogeniv has never seized to amaze people with his gift of music.
During the 90's, Rogeniv was the lead singer of the pop/R&B group, TOUCH (now known as Uz4), whom consisted of his cousin and talented Philippine-born singer, Mel Mamauag and two multi-award winning dancers-turned-singers from Elk Grove, David Lozano and Mayo Guico. TOUCH received mentorship from multi-platinum producer and world-renowned bassist, Derek "D.O.A." Allen (writer/producer of "Lately" by Tyrese, toured w/ Janet Jackson, Lionel Ritchie among countless others) who gave Rogeniv a solid Gospel/R&B-tinged foundation that surrounds his vocals and overall musicianship. Soon after, and with the help of his father, Rollie Mamauag, who formed a comprehensive management team that included Errol Mercado (original manager), Mel Fong, Ky Nguyen and Florentine Catudan, TOUCH began performing throughout the United States at various colleges, political events and concerts, opening up for artists such as 112, Coolio, The Gap Band, and the late Aaliyah. They also collaborated with grammy award-winning artists, Raphael Saadiq of Tony! Toni! Tone! and Slim, lead-singer of the R&B group 112.
Rogeniv's fondest memory with his group, TOUCH, is sharing the stage with Stevie Wonder at the 53rd Inaugural Ball of President Clinton in Washington, where they serenaded Vice-President Al Gore and wife Tipper. The next day, they personally met with President Clinton and sang their stellar version of "Star Spangled Banner."
These days, Rogeniv's schedule is still jam-packed with performing at weddings, funerals and other events, as well as producing various recording projects for himself and others. He currently resides in Elk Grove, California with his loving wife Debbie, 3 sons, 1 daughter and a grandson to whom he dedicates his life to.
